The children slept VERY well last night and some didn't want to get up this morning! Going to do bushcraft made up for it as the children shaped sticks with knives and built their own campfires. They really enjoyed the zip wire and obstacle course but the highlight of the day was going to the beach. The children were fascinated with the rocks and fossils and didn't want to leave! I think the children will be sad to come home tomorrow but I know that they can't wait to see you all. Remember that we plan to be back at school for approximately 3pm. See you then!
Well the rain hasn't dampened our spirits today! The children all slept well and some woke up at the crack of dawn! Breakfast was enjoyed by everyone - bacon, beans, sausages, toast and cereal! Today's activities have included laser quest, the 3G swing, climbing and the leap of faith. It's hard to say which one the children enjoyed the most as there have been smiles all day. Lots of pictures for you to enjoy.
After leaving school, we had a steady journey down to Southampton. We even saw the largest cruise ship in the world! The children enjoyed their time on the ferry and ate their lunch. We soon arrived at Kingswood with 17 very excited children! After a guided tour of the site, the children had time in their bedrooms to unpack and relax. The first activities went well - problem solving and orienteering. The children all ate very well for dinner - salad, spaghetti bolognaise, fish or vegetarian pasta, followed by sponge with treacle sauce for pudding. Afterwards, we returned to the dorms to sing Happy Birthday to Jack and eat a slice of birthday cake. The children are now running around again, burning off some calories, playing mini Olympics!
